Biuletyn Historii Pogranicza

REVIEV PROCEEDING

Articles published in the “Biuletyn Historii Pogranicza” (“Borderlands History Bulletin”) (section “Studies and Articles”) come up for a detailed review procedure — both internal, which means by members of the Editorial Board, and external, in the form of opinions of at least two reviewers from outside the editorial group. In the case of other texts, reviews are an internal procedure, and only in the event of discrepancy in the opinions of Editorial Board members are they sent to external reviewers. In order to ensure the highest possible standards of independence and quality, the entire ready-to-print volume is additionally subjected to an independent review by two external reviewers. Studies and articles are reviewed in accordance with the standards of the double blind review process model and will be accepted for publication only after receiving positive opinions. The review, prepared in the form of a printout or an electronic version, should end with an unambiguous request for the publication of the article, its rejection or referral to corrections. The names of the reviewers are not disclosed to the Authors of the texts, and the reviewer does not know the Author’s name. If the review contains comments regarding the necessary corrections to the reviewed article, the article and the review (while maintaining anonymity) are delivered to the Author by e-mail or by post. The article sent to the Author for corrections must be sent back to the editorial office within three weeks.
